GOLDAXE was initiated by the Design Committee of China National Furniture Association (CNFA) and was first held in 2006, which has a history of 18 years. It is a national industry event jointly created by the Association and national designers, entrepreneurs, and experts, and the previous award-winning works represent the highest level of the industry, and the scale of participation of colleges and universities and enterprises covers the whole country.

In order to solidly promote the home furnishing industry innovation-driven development strategy, accelerate the development of new quality productivity, Gold Axe China Household Products Innovation Competition is newly upgraded, in order to convey the spiritual connotation of Chinese culture and Made in China to the world as its own responsibility, and gradually to the direction of the material, technology, technology, traditions, office, upholstery, equipment and other areas to extend to help the home furnishing industry to achieve long-term development. 2024, CNFA will hold the GOLDAXE Competition (Household Products Innovation Material Innovation) during the 29th Furniture China. The Product Innovation Competition was formerly known as “China Furniture Design Award”, which was co-organized by CNFA and Shanghai IM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co., Ltd. for 15 years, and was renamed as “China Furniture Product Innovation Award” since 2014. The competition is led by the Design Committee of CNFA to set up a judging committee, with experts from organizations, institutions and enterprises closely related to the development of China’s furniture industry, who select innovative design products with contemporary characteristics with their senior experience and unique vision of development. Over the past twenty-four years, the award has effectively promoted the formation of a design and innovation culture in China’s furniture industry, and has played an important role in promoting the emergence of new design talents and encouraging the innovative development of enterprises. “As a comprehensive award focusing on design, the product innovation award focuses on: appearance design, functional structure design, technology and material innovation and sustainable innovation design four aspects.
