Europe is the largest export market for household products in Anji County, Zhejiang Province. In order to reduce the impact of products on the environment throughout their life cycle, the European Union promulgated the Regulation on Ecodesign of Sustainable Products, which officially came into effect on July 18 this year. Among them, furniture was listed as the first batch of controlled products.

Faced with the new EU green product regulations, Anji furniture companies have adapted to the industry development trend and international market demand and accelerated the pace of green transformation.

Based on the 5.7% year-on-year growth in 2023, Anji Green Home Furnishing exports from January to May this year were 8.84 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.4%, driving the county's foreign trade exports by 9.2 percentage points. Among them, exports to the EU were 2.37 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.1%.
